Job Description Summary

Responsible for direct support of the Maintenance Team and the Operations Manager with various Maintenance tasks and improvement activities. Responsible for daily tasks revolving around Machine Repair and Machine Uptime.

Job Description

  • Mechanical Repair- ability to diagnose, fix, and maintain machinery and equipment.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting- the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Basic Welding- techniques for using appropriate welding tools for the tasks.
  • Hydraulic Systems- ability to perform inspections, leak detection and repairs.
  • Pneumatic Systems- ability to conduct routine checks for leaks, hose condition, and correct air pressure levels.
  • Preventive Maintenance- ability to monitor and inspect equipment to catch early issues.
  • Ability to read and understand Blueprints.
  • Ability to work with Contractors or Vendors.
  • Ability to operate Forklift, Scissor Lift, and Articulating Boom Lift.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to communicate with other associates (in every department) in a meaningful and respectful manner in the performance of duties.
  • Working level knowledge of computers and Microsoft applications (Word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Can perform various mathematic tasks (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds.

Required Skills and Education

This position requires a high attention to detail, the ability to work in ambiguous situations and requires little direction to get things done. Proficiency in PLEX. Ability to use computer terminals, gages, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

Strong electrical skills, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills and abilities are required. Must be able to work with a team.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, set-up instructions and blueprints. Be able to fill out charts and other simple documents and to effectively communicate with team members verbally and through e-mail.
