Location:Largo, FL Job Type:Full-Time | 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri: 3:30PM - 12AM) Compensation:$19.18/hour + Shift Differential + Benefits + Overtime opportunities What you will do You will maintain a material flow that supports the press room and coil and manufacturing operations. You will perform duties as required to support the shipping operation as well as the warehouse operations. Under the direction of the Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor, you will be required to transport either finished pallets from each manufacturing line, crate, weigh, measure (dimensionally) and accurately label each crated pallet with the customer's delivery information or material or parts to each production operation to support productions scheduled requirements. How you will do it
Pallet Ensure that all materials are always labeled with date received and part number. Pick, Pull, Stage, support Kanban rack materials based on the production schedule or Parts Orders backlog using FIFO. Deliver materials to production areas based on production schedules, Kanban racks or requisitions where pick lists do not exist using FIFO. All requisitions require job numbers. Identify and report overstocking, material shortages, discrepant material, scrap, quality concerns etc. Perform inventory transactions as the material moves. Contact appropriate members of management in an effort to consciously identify potential problems/ concerns as it pertains to their specific job requirements Enter inventory transactions into ERP system via computer, scanner or other electronic devices as required when the material moves. Suggest continual Improvement opportunities while performing various tasks within the plant. Perform audits, visual inspections, verifications, cycle counts as required by management. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to material handling. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor/team lead. Perform pre use inspections of equipment as define on the specific equipment of from Safety rules. Perform actions required support to press shop: move or remove metal as required (lights out or laser equipment), empty scrap metal, maintain FIFO for metal sheets, label stored metal awaiting stamping, mark each pallet with size and gauge. Put all metal away in their proper location. Remove finished palletized product from the end of the manufacturing line and deliver to the crating area. Crate, weigh, measure, scan and label each pallet transport to staging area or load onto trailer. Identify and report any concerns either quality or as it pertains to their specific job requirements etc. Operate machinery pertinent to completing the tasks at hand. i.e. Forklift, Stand-up, Pallet Jack, Reach Trucks. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Other duties as required
What we look for
HS Diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Strong Customer Service skills required, very good communications skills Hold a Forklift Certification, or obtain a certification within a two time allowance of testing all within the first month of starting position

Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists. The Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing or walking over hard concrete surface. Exposure to recurring bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, sitting, climbing, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Ability to read, write, speak and communicate in the English Language Must have the physical strength and ability to frequently work more than 40 hours weekly Ability to operate all job necessary equipment including moving vehicles in a safe manner. Persons under the influence of illegal drugs, alcohol or a prescribed medication which has a prescription warning to not operate machinery or drive a moving vehicle, shall not be considered as having the ability to operate the necessary equipment in a safe manner.
