What You'll Do



Summary/Objective:

Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day administration of all benefit programs, leave of absence administration, auditing of all insurance billing and proficient in the Benefit Administration system.

  • Administer the day to day activities of employee benefit programs such as Health, Dental, Vision, FSA, Life & Disability, COBRA, Workers' Compensation and other voluntary benefits.
  • Respond promptly to employee benefit inquiries; monitor employee concerns regarding benefit issues. Act as liaison between benefit vendors and employees.
  • Educate and consult with employees regarding Leave of Absence needs, administering and coordinating benefits such as Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, FMLA and applicable state disability leave plans.
  • Effectively interpret FMLA, ADA and state laws as they relate to leave of absences and/or disability. Provide guidance to managers on employee/employer rights under FMLA, ADA, PWFA and pertinent disability or leave provisions under state or federal law.
  • Ensure timely completion and reporting of all work related injuries or illness to Workers' Compensation carrier. File annual reports to the Department of Industrial Accidents.
  • Conduct benefit orientation for new employees and participate in the new hire benefit enrollment process.
  • Process Qualifying Life Events, enroll and un-enroll employees and dependents on benefit plans, requesting and maintaining appropriate document requests.
  • Proficient in the core Benefits Administration System. Perform necessary audits required for data integrity, and maintain the system as appropriate, liaising with UKG or applicable benefit vendors as necessary.
  • Review and correct any errors or inadvertent additions or terminations from the benefit plans by reviewing weekly reports to include: Carrier Feeds/Integrations, APIs, Work Status Events and the Task Dashboard in BenAdmin.
  • Audit monthly benefit billing for accuracy, submit payment and conduct indepth quarterly billing audits to maintain clean records with benefit vendors.
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment by educating employees on pertinent changes and benefit offerings, maintain UKG BenAdmin system, process enrollment changes and build/audit any changes during Open Enrollment that impact carrier feeds.
  • Collaborate with Compliance Specialist in completion of all required state and federal filings as it relates to Benefits.
  • Create and maintain all benefits related procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements.



What You'll Need



Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • 1-3 years benefit administration experience required.


Additional Eligibility Requirements:



  • CEBS Certification a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Intermediate Excel skills, as it relates to auditing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HCM software. UKG/BenAdmin experience a definite plus!

Expected Pay Range



$70,100 - $78,900
