What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain detailed reliability and validation test plans (DVP&R) based on customer and automotive industry specifications and requirements
  • Coordinate with Molex's global validation laboratories to ensure smooth test execution, including scheduling, setup, documentation, troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Lead and guide test lab personnel on testing strategies, planning, and best practices; identify and implement corrective actions to improve test quality and efficiency
  • Manage project timelines and communicate status updates thoroughly and promptly
  • Execute test procedures and support measurement systems analysis
  • Review new and revised specifications, assess potential challenges, and develop implementation plans to ensure effective validation testing
  • Analyze, summarize, and communicate test results to design engineers; highlight abnormalities or inconsistencies and recommend improvements to testing methods and sample preparation
  • Provide technical support to internal teams, customers, and suppliers while ensuring compliance with Molex's quality and safety management systems including TQM, Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S standards
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Experience in validation, reliability testing, or quality engineering
  • Proven experience developing and executing detailed validation test plans (DVP&R) based on customer and industry specifications.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R)
  • Hands-on experience coordinating and executing validation testing in laboratory settings, including test setup, scheduling, documentation, troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Familiarity with measurement systems analysis (MSA) and statistical process control (SPC)
  • Knowledge of quality management systems such as Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma methodologies, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) regulations
  • Ability to interpret and assess new or revised technical specifications and develop effective validation test strategies

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Understanding of automotive industry standards and specifications (e.g., AEC-Q, ISO 26262)
  • Experience using Polarion, Microsoft Project, or similar Test Plan development & management tools
  • Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
  • Additional certifications related to quality management (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer)

For this role, we anticipate paying $85,000-$105,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
