Intern

Apogee has an exciting opportunity for an Intern to support the corporate IT Team. In this role, you will provide basic technical support to employees by responding to Tier 1 help desk tickets and troubleshooting common hardware, software, and network issues. This role assists with routine IT tasks, equipment setup, and user account support while gaining hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. The intern will work closely with the IT team to ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues and contribute to maintaining smooth daily operations.

This is a part-time position working on-site in Dayton, Ohio, 2 days a week.

Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system.

• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.

• Log, track, and update support tickets in the IT service management system.

• Escalate complex incidents to Tier 2 or senior IT staff as needed.

• Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of workstations, laptops, and peripherals.

• Support user account creation, password resets, and access management following IT policies.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software installs, updates, and system checks.

• Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and common issues for knowledge-base updates.

• Help maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.

• Follow established IT procedures, security guidelines, and best practices.

• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to all users.

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Certifications: CompTIA Security+
Education: High School Diploma
