Residential Counselor (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY

This is counseling position is intended for applicants that hold an active LDCP and/or a minimum of 2 years' of clinical experience in the behavioral health/recovery field and working towards licensure. This position provides individual and group services and clinical documentation according to state and federal requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in the human service setting and an understanding of the existing related social service network and experience with referral techniques with these agencies.
  • LCDP, or must gain LCDP licensure within 6 months of hire.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS


  • Provide direct services to assigned clients on a daily basis.
  • Provide direct services to identified populations which include: orientation, report/record keeping, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, consultation, referral, treatment planning, and client education.
  • Complete and maintain appropriate reports and paperwork in conformance with state licensing regulations and agency policies.
  • Attend a minimum of weekly clinical supervision and in-service trainings as required.
  • Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards for substance abuse counseling, including HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2.
  • Maintain all records in accordance with State, Federal and Agency requirements.
  • As necessary, will provide and/or coordinate services for clients in a fashion that is consistent with the utilization of the 12 core functions of a substance abuse professional.
  • Facilitate group treatment activities as assigned.
  • Transition identified clients into appropriate after care services.
  • Act as a liaison between other community resources and CCA.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS


  • Provide program coverage as needed
