ENGINEER - THIRD CLASS BOILER

A great opportunity for a retired engineer who wants steady work without the stress of a traditional engineering job. This role focuses on monitoring equipment, solving problems, and supporting a safe environment. The pay rate is $24.50 / hr (non-negotiable) with an immediate start available.

Uses your engineering background in a calmer, more predictable setting.

• Involves monitoring and troubleshooting rather than constant heavy repair work.

• Lets you support facility operations in a meaningful and steady way.

• Third Grade Engineer License - City of Omaha (Boiler Certification)

• 3-5 years of related work experience.

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

• Customer service experience.

• Able to lift up to 20 lbs when needed.

• Full-Time

• Afternoon/Evening Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM

• Workdays: Monday through Friday

• Category: Security Officer Level

• Watch boilers, temperatures, pressures, pumps, fans, and air handlers.

• Keep systems running safely and smoothly.

• Contact the on-call Facilities Manager when an issue appears.

• Make minor repairs yourself or use FaceTime for guided support.

• If needed, the manager will call in a vendor to complete repairs.

• Follow all safety and site-specific procedures.

• Stay calm and solution-focused when responding to incidents.

• Perform routine and random patrols around the building and perimeter.

• Preventing downtime keeps the facility running safely.

• Quick response reduces equipment damage and improves reliability.

• Strong customer service builds trust with clients and maintains a safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
