Overview
In this role, you will create modern, engaging learning solutions that support organizational development, competency growth, and career progression across the enterprise. This role blends instructional design expertise with digital learning experience design - developing high-quality content in Articulate Storyline while shaping intuitive, user-centered learning experiences within our enterprise learning platforms. You will work closely with subject matter experts and L&D partners to design, develop, and modernize content that is accessible, visually compelling, and aligned to development frameworks and business needs. Job Responsibilities:
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality digital learning experiences, including Storyline modules, microlearning, simulations, interactive exercises, and blended learning content.
- Apply strong instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and modern learning practices to create effective and engaging solutions.
- Transform complex technical or operational content into clear, concise, and learner-friendly materials.
- Develop multimedia assets using Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, or similar tools.
- Ensure deliverables meet accessibility, quality, and branding standards.
- Learning Experience & Platform Design
- Shape learner experience within the Haskell University platform by designing navigation flows, content layouts, and intuitive learning pathways.
- Create and manage content structures, tagging, metadata, and taxonomies that support discoverability.
- Partner with LXP administrators to configure pages, collections, and pathways that align with competencies and functional development frameworks (FDFs).
- Support usability improvements by applying user-centered design concepts and feedback from learners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate on enhancements that improve platform experience, including search optimization, layout, and content organization.
- Collaboration & Project Execution
- Partner with subject matter experts to define learning objectives, scope requirements, and ensure content accuracy.
- Participate in needs assessments and learning experience mapping to define the right modality and approach for each solution.
- Manage projects from concept to launch, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Support the modernization of legacy content and the scaling of new enterprise learning initiatives.
- Quality, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all content aligns with competency models, functional development frameworks, and enterprise learning standards.
- Incorporate learner data, analytics, and feedback to refine content and improve user experience.
- Support the development and adherence to L&D quality guidelines and IACET-aligned standards.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of instructional design and eLearning development experience
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline (portfolio or work samples required).
- Experience designing digital learning experiences for LMS/LXP environments
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies
- Ability to independently design, storyboard, prototype, and develop interactive content
- Excellent writing, communications, and collaboration skills
- Strong project management skills and ability to managed multiple priorities
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing learning experiences in Cornerstone, Docebo, or similar LXP platforms
- Knowledge of UX or service design principles
- Experience supporting competency-based or career-path learning models
- Familiarity with learning data/analytics
- Exposure to IACET standards or enterprise L&D quality framework

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
