Meet the Team

You will be a part of our System Reliability Team working on Cisco Silicon One products. We encompass thoughtful release process planning and monitoring, detailed testing, and implementing automation through release processes. Part of our everyday work includes ensuring the stability of the development branch and testing supervision. We bridge the gap between our customers and developers, making sure that communication flows smoothly and that any issues are resolved swiftly. Our contributions are essential to the smooth operation of our quality, releases and the overall satisfaction of our users.

Your Impact

In this role, you will play a critical part in release preparation to ensure successful deployments. You will facilitate communication across teams, ensuring everyone is aligned on release objectives and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include conducting daily regression testing and monitoring system performance to maintain high standards of quality. When failures are identified, you will coordinate with the appropriate development or infrastructure teams to assign and resolve issues efficiently.

You will collaborate closely with customer-owners and developers to streamline processes, and you will continuously refine and expand the scope of regression testing and release procedures. By actively participating in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) initiatives, you will help automate and enhance the development pipeline. Your analytical skills will be key as you analyze and report on issues discovered in released software, driving ongoing improvements.

Additionally, you will develop automation to monitor and triage failures found during daily regressions, serving as the primary point of contact for any problems or failures encountered in development sanity execution. Your in-depth understanding of the CI/CD system and related products will be vital in consolidating knowledge and troubleshooting issues. As the system evolves, you will help manage its growth by analyzing, designing, and developing new approaches to maintain the quality of releases.

  • 3+ years of experience coding in C++ or Python.
  • 3+ years of experience using regression testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, pytest, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience performing both manual and automated software testing.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with various testing scenarios, including performance, functional, stress, and security testing.
  • Experience documenting testing processes, adhering to defined procedures and test plans, and reporting test results.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
