Job Description:

The Manager Marketing Technologies drivesthe strategy, development, optimization, and quality assurance of digital analytics implementations across Southwest's digital channels, including Southwest.com, mobile web, and mobile apps. They'll oversee the technical direction and feature roadmap for data capture within large-scale cloud and on-premise systems. The Manager Marketing Technologies is an organized collaborator with a strategic mindset ready to ensure best-in-class implementations of Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and data layers, while leading the process for analytics execution.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the technical direction and feature roadmap for the digital analytics data capture for large-scale cloud and on-premise systems
  • Create strategies for digital analytics including developing long-term roadmaps and evaluating toolsets in support of organizational initiatives
  • Ensure Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and data layer implementations are best-in-class while overseeing analytics requirement gathering and implementations
  • Share responsibility with the Technology team for digital analytics tagging solutions and advocates for best-in-class solutions while continuously driving improvement
  • Partner with internal team members to ensure all tests are properly implemented within Adobe Target and audiences are accurate within Adobe Audience Manager, or other like tools
  • Lead, support, and influence the achievement of the mission, goals, and objectives of the department and organization
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor performance and impact of all programs in digital channels to maximize effectiveness and optimize where needed
  • Partners with Marketing and Technology teams to troubleshoot errors/issues and ensure timely resolution is delivered
  • Collaborate on strategy, requirement development, use case creation, onboarding, and implementation for new MarTech tools or partners
  • Partner with team to gather data points, analyze, and create business cases for strategic recommendations that are technical in nature
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Knowledge of best practices and hands-on experience in digital analytics, including the Adobe Marketing Cloud and other industry-leading platforms
  • Knowledge of Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Adobe Audience Manager, including tag implementation, testing, audience creation, and reporting
  • Knowledge of customer data platforms, data layer implementation, and marketing technology systems, platforms, and product integration
  • Skilled in mathematics, analytics, and problem solving
  • Skilled in establishing and inspiring trust within the team and Marketing department
  • Ability to plan and drive large business initiatives to completion while meeting deadlines and staying within budget
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate into implementations that meet the Business' needs
  • Ability to provide tactical leadership for team(s)
  • Ability to use appropriate motivation and influence techniques to achieve desired team results
  • Ability to set and manage stakeholder expectations

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)

  • Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:

    • Marketing

    • Digital marketing

    • Digital analytics

    • Tag management

    • Adobe Marketing Cloud

  • Preferred: Experience in Adobe Tagging and Analytics Tools (Adobe Launch and Target)

  • Preferred: Experience in website coding

  • Preferred: Experience in Martech tool evolution and reporting evolution

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time

  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $132,200 - $146,900* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
