Responsibilities

Claims Process Engineering leads process change efforts within the claims organization. The continued evolution of the claims experience is critical for State Farm to continue delivering industry leading service for our customers in our second century, just like our first.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to drive change through improved information layers and reporting. In this role, you will work across verticals of planning, engineering, and claims to define key reporting requirements, create dashboard views which tell the story, learn, and adjust. You own existing solutions and identify, create, and scale new opportunities to support the business. You will refine complex data into crisp metrics for leadership decision making, shaping the future of the claims experience. You will lead change efforts as new tools and metrics are deployed.



Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • 5 years hands on building with visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc; you thrive in taking messy data and bringing it to life in succinct visuals.
  • 3-5 years of experience scripting in SQL. Functional experience with Python is a plus.
  • Experience translating requirements from business stakeholders into documented features, and the ability to prioritize work based on estimated impact; you apply judgment in what to prioritize and when.
  • Experience presenting your work to both working-level and leadership audiences.
  • 5 years of experience working in or collaborating with finance, planning, engineering, or other core functional teams; you are as comfortable speaking in the language of the business as you are in the language of your solutions.
  • Curious and creative mindset; you are not afraid to test and learn on the path to success.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in agile and non-agile settings.

Interview Process:
The interview process will consist of a 3-step process; first round candidates may be invited to complete an on-demand video interview; from the on-demand video interview round, competitive candidates may be invited to participate in a case study. Following the case study, competitive candidates may be invited to a live hiring team interview where selected candidates will be asked to present their case study to the interview panel.

  • Potential starting salary range: $104,000.00 - $139,500.00
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
