Atlassian Platform Engineer - Newark, CA \| $60-$65/hr. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Atlassian Platform Engineer to join our growing team in Newark, CA. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $60-$65 per hour and the opportunity to manage, optimize, and support a suite of Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, and related add-ons. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with multiple departments to implement solutions that improve business processes, team productivity, and workflow automation. What You'll Do Administer and maintain Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, and add-ons), ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Design, configure, and customize Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and schemes to meet evolving business requirements. Build custom integrations and automations to connect Atlassian tools with other enterprise platforms using REST APIs, OAuth, and scripting. Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues promptly, providing top-tier technical support. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver enhancements or new Atlassian implementations. Identify automation opportunities to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency. Participate in project planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within scope. Conduct regular system audits and implement changes to enhance usability, performance, and security. Stay up-to-date with the latest Atlassian cloud and on-prem features, updates, and industry best practices. Recommend process improvements and best practices to maximize the value of Atlassian tools across the organization. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. 2-4 years' experience as an Atlassian Engineer, with hands-on experience managing Jira and Confluence. 1+ years' experience developing SaaS tool integrations and workflow automations. Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth), and enterprise system integrations. Solid programming/scripting experience in Groovy, Python, and SQL. Experience with cloud-based and on-prem Atlassian instances is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality solutions.
