Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, this Security Support position performs tasks such as being responsible for patrolling the premises to detect suspicious activity, assist employees, and ensure the safety and well-being of company property and its occupants.

Responsibilities:



  • Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises
  • Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
  • Patrol randomly or regularly the building and its perimeter
  • Report any suspicious incidents immediately to the Security Supervisor and law enforcement if needed
  • Escort staff to and from their vehicle as needed
  • Keep perimeter of building clean and free of debris while on patrol
  • Check in with front desk periodically to address any concerns
  • Assist Facilities Manager with facility duties as requested and directed by the Security Supervisor
  • Participate in safety committee and assist Compliance Officer as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving items or performing other work sometimes requiring heavy physical exertion, talking, and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.

Non-Physical Requirements:

Education



  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred


Experience



  • Prior experience in related field of security, preferred

  • Exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to understand both verbal and written instructions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with basic security practices
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as required during all seasons
  • Pick up yard waste around building if found while doing patrol


Licensure, Registration, Certification



  • Valid Washington State drives license and required minimum liability insurance for WA State


Employment is conditional upon:



  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm - 12:30am

Wage Range: $19.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on experience
