Description The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a limited Information Systems Director to assist our Department of Psychiatry/Semel Institute. You will complete special projects and transition complex programming to a new platform.You will collaborate closely with faculty and administrators, and help drive technology initiatives that support research, education, and patient care. Primary duties include: Leading infrastructure technology, and research computing servicesManaging enterprise systems and improving service delivery processes Driving technology modernization efforts, cloud adoption, and data center consolidation Partnering with researchers and faculty to support large-scale scientific and academic needs Please note: this is a limited position Qualifications Master's Degree in IT, Engineering, or related field Demonstrated skills and experience maintaining and supporting administrative applications (accounting, contracts and grants, HR, etc.) Detailed knowledge of CGI programming languages Knowledge of Internet protocol and networking hardware and software Demonstrated ability to maintain server hardware and software Ample knowledge of audiovisual equipment Ability to prioritize tasks and projects Demonstrated ability to analyze information and situations to identify relevant issues, propose solutions, and recognize alternatives Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
