The Opportunity

The Digital Transformation Artificial Intelligence (AI) Senior Software Engineer is a technical position responsible for evolving Ulteig's AI and Automation Practice, which lives within Digital Transformation. Ulteig defines digital transformation as the deliberate use of digital technologies to modify or create business processes, customer experiences, and enable organizational culture in response to or anticipation of changes in the market, customer insights, and business needs. This role will bring the technical experience necessary for governance and standards, as well as report on the impact of AI & Automation across the company. In addition, this role will play a significant part in the talent up-skilling, training as well and educating the enterprise on the latest trends and emerging patterns relevant to our business.

Reporting into the Software Engineering team within Digital Transformation, this technical position will need to blend technical experience with an ability to up-skill talent across the enterprise. This position, in partnership with a dedicated AI Program Manager, will carry the challenge of governing, standardizing, up-skilling, training and reporting upon the impact of AI and Citizen Developer endeavors across the enterprise. Key deliverables include the creation of training, standards, governance, reporting documents, as well as status reports to both the enterprise and senior leaders. This position will need to be equally comfortable in front of a training class as authoring code.

Success in this role is measured by one's ability to up-skill the enterprise, report upon the impact, as well as articulate and demonstrate patterns and emerging technologies within the industry. Lastl,y this position will carry a software engineering coding component as well.

What You'll Do

Technical Guidance



  • Stay ahead of emerging AI technologies and trends that impact our industry.
  • Identify and articulate AI patterns to solve real business challenges.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to provide strategic technical guidance.


Upskill and Educate



  • Design and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and hackathons to build AI expertise across the enterprise.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor, helping teams adopt AI best practices.


Establish Standards and Governance



  • Partner with security, legal, and technology teams to ensure compliance and alignment.



Measure and Report Impact



  • Create insightful, easy-to-understand reports that demonstrate the value and impact of AI and automation efforts.
  • Communicate progress and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.


Hands-On Development



  • Contribute to coding efforts, building and deploying AI-driven solutions using languages and technologies such as C#, Python, RAG, LLM, MCP, Agents, and fine-tuning.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.



What We Expect from You

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering enterprise-grade software solutions.
  • Proven track record in developing AI-driven applications and leveraging AI technologies and patterns.


Technical Expertise



  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with AI frameworks, machine learning models, and automation tools.
  • Ability to architect scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.


Training & Leadership



  • Previous experience creating and delivering technical training programs.
  • Passion for mentoring and upskilling teams across the organization.
  • Ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical, actionable insights for diverse audiences.


Collaboration & Communication



  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong ability to partner across departments (security, legal, technology) to ensure compliance and governance.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and facilitating workshops or hackathons.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $130,400 - $176,500
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role.
