About the role: As a Senior Manager - Radiation Safety you will have experience in all aspects of a comprehensive Radiation Safety Program to ensure the safety of employees, the general public, and the environment. You will maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. You will manage a complex radiation safety program and provide technical guidance with support from a staff of radiation protection technicians. This role is located in Churchill; PA. Relocation is available. You will report to the Director - Churchill R&D Innovation and work a hybrid role. Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in physics, Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or related field 5+ years of related RSO or RPM experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification as a Radiation Safety Officer or progress towards formal training certification. NRRPT or CHP is helpful. Must be vetted Trustworthy and Reliable, observing the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, PA Department of Environmental Protection and the Churchill Site Access Authorization Program. You will have familiarization or experience working in a research laboratory setting with the presence of chemical, biological, or radiological hazards. Demonstrated experience communicating technical information to multiple audiences is necessary. Respond to emergencies involving radiological hazards. We require the ability to pass drug and alcohol screening. Required technical skills includes: 10CFR Part 61 calculations and decisions 10CFR Part 37 experience Radiological Waste Shipping qualifications (49CFR including IATA) NESHAPS/RCRA/CERCLA experience Internal/external dosimetry experience (calculations and investigations) Special Nuclear Material/NMSS reporting Decommissioning American Nuclear Insurer experience (as an insured) Shielding design/calculations/application of shielding to reduce exposure X-ray/accelerator/RGD experience We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
