YOUR IMPACT

As an Analyst within GSAM Private Credit, Sustainability & Impact (S&I), you will play a pivotal role in advancing the firm's sustainable investing ambitions across its global private credit platform.

Collaboration is key in this role. You will partner with teams across GSAM to integrate sustainability factors into investment strategies, helping clients achieve not only risk and return targets but also broader sustainability goals. This may involve delivering on fund commitments and regulatory requirements through ESG due diligence and reporting, as well as creating customized solutions that align with evolving sustainability standards.

Success in this role is driven by creative problem solving, a client-first mindset, and the ability to navigate a broad spectrum of investment products and sustainability issues. The Analyst role is perfect for those who want to work with global investment teams, engage in impactful projects, and contribute to sustainability & impact investment solutions.

Responsibilities



  • Support the evolution and implementation of the firm's sustainability initiatives across the private credit platform
  • Working with Investment team members to conduct dedicated ESG diligence, climate risk assessments, and other sustainability-related diligence during underwriting
  • Supporting ESG annual monitoring workflow across platform
  • Assisting the Private Credit S&I Lead with regulatory and client ESG requests and reporting (TCFD, SFDR, UNPRI, etc.), including collaboration with other stakeholders across the firm (e.g. capital raising team, legal & compliance, and other sustainability professionals)
  • Research and analyze sector trends and company disclosures to identify sustainability risks and opportunities



Qualifications / Skills



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0.5-1 years of prior work experience in a relevant field
  • Fast learner and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Team player with both a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with management and global stakeholders
  • Commercially savvy in professional settings
  • Ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
  • Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgment


Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
