Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Media Facilities Specialist I - Mineola/Long Island.
In this role as a Media Facilities Specialist, the successful candidate will be a team player with client service experience to work fully onsite and have the ability to respond to changes in a short time and be flexible. Respond to emails and trouble calls in a timely fashion and be available to support events and activities. Staff and Operate the Audio-Visual equipment for classes and special events, including set up, recording and displaying. Assist and instruct clients regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Review daily event schedules and coordinate accordingly. Set-up and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices and systems. Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or clean equipment when necessary and break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead technical resource for live academic symposia and medical education events that coordinates production & support virtual & hybrid events ranging from simple to highly complex.
- Assist clientele with creating and executing run-of-show for highly structured events, ceremonies, and symposia.
- Conduct structured event intake and planning coordination including event needs assessments and reviewing/producing a run-of-show.
- Review daily event schedules and coordinate accordingly. Assist with video post-production and editing as needed.
- They will set-up and troubleshoot AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices and systems.
- Operate equipment for classes and special events- including set up, recording, managing presentations and break down as needed.
- Assist and instruct clients regarding proper usage and operation of equipment and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals.
- Ensure equipment is fully operational, assist in the repair or cleaning equipment when necessary and break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
- Administrative tasks & record keeping coordination utilizing tools like Resource Scheduler, Brightspace calendar and Ivanti ITSM ticketing system.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
At least three years of event technology support experience (applications and infrastructure or an equivalent combination of education and work experience)
Work experience in healthcare and/or education or equivalent experience in complex organizations Client facing experience
Knowledge of personal computing, Mac and Windows, PC/Workstation LAN based systems, TCP/IP, end user infrastructure Support management tools, client functions and applications
Strong consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, decisiveness, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management, staff and vendors.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to understand the business and technical needs of the client as well as foster customer relationship building and deliver outstanding customer service.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users; ability to work effectively with customers.
Candidate should be able to work in a fast paced environment, support multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize work to meet and or exceed established service levels and be dependable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with live event production methodologies and Analog Way Aquilon/LivePremier and/or Blackmagic ATEM video production hardware and software. Experience with Crestron control systems. Knowledge and experience supporting end users use of Unified Collaboration and video conferencing platforms. (ie Webex, Zoom, MS Teams)

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $96,573.35 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
