Position Summary:

This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, entity-level financial management, and tax compliance support across Benco Dental and related shareholder entities. This includes maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial statements, managing reconciliations, supporting corporate tax compliance, and responding to IRS and state tax correspondence.

This role works closely with the Director of Tax to ensure timely and accurate reporting for multiple entities (LLCs, S-Corps, partnerships, trusts, real-estate entities, foundations, and investment entities). The Senior Accounting Specialist will play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, supporting compliance functions, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the tax and accounting functions.

Senior Accounting Specialist may also assist with shareholder financial activities on an as-needed basis, including preparing supporting documentation, maintaining entity records, and coordinating information for external advisors, depending on the future structure of these responsibilities.

Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes?



  • Ability to use Quickbooks (desktop or online)
  • Experience with GAAP and financial statement preparation
  • Experience with IRS and state tax correspondence
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and reconciliations)
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent computer, phone, and communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and work under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with corporate tax concepts, depreciation schedules, and tax workpaper preparation
  • Experience with bookkeeping, tax, and ERP system technology
  • Multi-entity accounting experience with intercompany activity


Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU?



  • Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for federal, state, and local tax for entities including partnerships, LLCs, S-Corps, trusts, real-estate, and foundations
  • Assist with quarterly and annual estimated tax payment calculations
  • Review, track, and draft responses for IRS and state tax notices; coordinating with outside advisors as needed
  • Maintain entity compliance calendars, ensuring timely filing of annual reports and other regulatory requirements
  • Support corporate tax compliance functions as needed (ex: sales/use tax, business registrations, property tax, excise tax, etc.)
  • Maintain entity books using QuickBooks in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for related entities. Manage and/or complete account reconciliations, such as bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Responsible for financial statement preparation for trusts, S-Corps, LLCs, and the Family Foundation
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules for real estate, trust, or other passive entities connected to shareholder structures
  • Coordinate information for external legal, tax, banking, or investment advisors
  • Manage shareholder investments. Coordinate due diligence on new investments, obtain required financial information, arrange interviews with key investment personnel and existing customers, and review with legal department LP agreements and subscription documents.
  • reconcile and analyze bank/brokerage accounts as well as private equity and hedge fund capital statements. Ensure available funding and capital payments are made by deadlines.


Do YOU Meet These Requirements?



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4-6 years experience in progressive related experience in tax and accounting, required
  • 4--6 years in public accounting and tax preparation experience, preferred
