Floor Care Assistant - Full Time - Day Shift - The Linden

Eventide Senior Living Communities in Moorhead, MN is seeking a Floor Care Assistant to work full time Monday through Friday, 8 - 4:30p at The Linden. The shift can start earlier in the morning, if preferred. No weekends required.

The Floor Care Assistant will clean and maintain various types of floor surfaces for the facility and ensure a safe and clean environment for the residents, families, visitors, and staff while following established policies and procedures as outlined by Eventide.

Essential Functions

• Performs cleaning of hard floors by sweeping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing within the buildings.
• Performs cleaning of carpeted floors by vacuuming, shampooing, and spot removal within the buildings.
• Use of floor care equipment such as floor scrubber, vacuum, high and low speed buffer, carpet extractor, carpet sweeper, carpet rider, and high pressure washer are necessary.
• Properly maintains floor care equipment and inventory of supplies.
• Determine proper chemicals and methods needed by evaluating the surface and/or spot.
• Monitors floors for wear and report to supervisor as needed.
• Follows all safety regulations and rules when using equipment and chemicals.
• Assists with maintaining floor care records.
• Assists with room discharge cleanings and supports housekeeping duties as needed.
• Attends necessary training as deemed necessary by supervisor to keep floor care skills current.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Ideal Candidate

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous experience with floor care is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $16-17.44 for Floor Care Assistants per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
