Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Ithaca, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. This role includes driving responsibilities as you maintain a visible presence throughout the property. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related threats to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
