Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by patrolling designated areas by vehicle and/or foot. This role requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license. You will remain highly visible, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service as part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or site management as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activities or hazards to the appropriate authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
