Manufacturing Sustainability Analyst

Research, analyze, and report sustainability data for the Cooperative, assisting with extended producer responsibility (EPR), post-consumer recycled (PCR) material reporting, customer data in relation to regulations and other projects and programs as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Gather, analyze, and monitor sustainability data, providing trend reports and recommendations as requested
  • Collect plant data including post-consumer content use, packaging volumes from all required sources with the ability to aggregate data across multiple ERP systems and platforms
  • A high level of proficiency is required in Excel, PowerBI and Alteryx
  • Proficiency in Microsoft CoPilot and other AI platforms
  • Prepare reporting data for state level reporting across EPR and PCR regulations
  • Ability to report regulatory data into customer, organization or governmental data management platforms
  • Serve as a point person for customer data requests pertaining to EPR or other requests

Education and Experience



  • Undergraduate degree in data analytics, supply chain management, business, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
  • 2 to 5 years of data analytics and an understanding of manufacturing process systems (ERP)
  • Experience in internal and external reporting, metrics tracking and analysis, and communications
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of current sustainability industry initiatives, trends, and tools
  • Knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility regulations and other state packaging regulations, labeling protocols and understanding of packaging bill of materials and formats.
  • Knowledge of life cycle assessment methods and practices
  • Knowledge of consumer and marketplace trends in sustainable packaging
  • Knowledge of corporate reporting against KPIs
  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Project management skills pertaining to sustainability measurement, reporting, and communications
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills
  • Able to synthesize, clarify, and simplify abstract topics
  • Able to create visual representations of data and progress
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
