The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring immediately for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Groton, CT.


Responsibilities

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will work as part of a team of ISSOs supporting Cyber Security (CS) and System Security Engineering (SSE) efforts underneath Lead ISSO, and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). The key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate and manage the delivery, review, and submission of authorization documentation in support of authorization activities for the associated acquisition programs.
  • Attend meetings with industry partners to ensure authorization efforts are on schedule and completed in accordance with the systems program plan and applicable policy and procedures.
  • Work with industry partners to identify and mitigate CS and SSE Risk associated with system development.
  • Quality Assurance check and review documentation to ensure authorization packages meet the high-quality standards of the program.
  • Provide lead ISSO updates and status of authorization efforts.
  • Support the Lead ISSO with management of Issues, concerns and Risk associated with the system authorization process.
  • Coordinate risk reduction activities with the Lead ISSO and ISSM.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizen with TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Prior work with weapon systems, Submarine information systems and networks along with an understanding of Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DoN), and NIST Cyber Security policy, procedures, and requirements.
  • 6 years or more experience with NIST Risk Management Framework, Cyber Network Defense, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DISA Security Technical implications Guides, and automation applications.
  • Must satisfy DON Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) Requirements at time of application.
  • Must be able to travel to prime contractors and other government locations as necessary.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).
