As a Firmware Validation Engineer,you'llensure the safety, reliability, and quality ofpower electronicssystems used by Tesla owners.

You'llarchitect automated test frameworks, design validation infrastructure, and collaborate with firmware developers to accelerate development cycles whilemaintainingrigorous standards. Your work will directlyimpactproduct robustness and empower engineers to deploy firmware updates with confidence.


What You'll Do
  • Design and deploy advanced automated test frameworks for embedded firmware validation
  • Architect CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into firmware development workflows
  • Develop X-in-the-looptest systemsto verify all levels ofcode, from Model to Hardware
  • Create actionable test reports to track code coverage, regression metrics, and release readiness
  • Reverse-engineer complex systems toidentifyedge cases and failure modes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine validation strategies and troubleshoot issues
  • Drive adoption of best practices for test automation, code robustness, and infrastructure scalability

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related field, or the equivalent in experience
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded systems validation, firmware testing, or related fields
  • Proficiencyin Python and CorC++; familiarity with Go or Rust is a plus
  • Familiarity with Simulink,HDLs,and FPGAsor industry standard Power Electronics HIL systemsis a plus
  • Hands-onexpertisewith hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, RTOS, and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SPI)
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into scalable test solutions

    Expected Compensation
    $133,440 - $246,720/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
