Villa Fairmont MHRC is a 96 bed licensed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center. This program serves adults between the ages of 18-65.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

We exist to help people with mental impairments realize their full potential.

MISSION STATEMENT

Telecare Corporation will deliver and manage excellent services and systems of care for persons with serious mental illness.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Maintenance Worker is the staff member that performs tasks that involve the facility physical plant, equipment and grounds maintenance. These duties encompass a variety of carpentry, electrical and environmental services assignments.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Days: Tuesday - Saturday

Expected starting wage is $22.66.Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Two (2) years of experience as a building maintenance worker, handyperson, boiler worker or in a related position is required. Experience in a health care setting is pre-ferred. High School graduation or a G.E.D. is also required. Necessary skills include knowledge of and ability to perform in the areas of: plumbing, carpentry, masonry and electrical, heating and air conditioning repair. The ability to read, write and speak English is essential, as is the willingness to work with adult mentally impaired persons. The incumbent must have a valid Class II California Driver's License and be insurable. Applicant must be finger printed, sign under penalty of perjury that there has been no conviction of any crime, other than minor traffic offenses, and receive clearance from the Department of Justice.

QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF WORK



  • Performs tasks correctly and according to policies and procedures.
  • Performs the following electrical tasks:

    1. Checks the temperature in the facility and maintains the log. Adjusts thermostats as needed to maintain the temperature between 72 74 degrees.
    2. Checks and logs boilers and water temperature.
    3. Checks all exit lights and other facility lights, replacing as needed.






    • Completes all sheet rock repairs, including sanding and painting within one week of being damaged.
    • Performs the following maintenance tasks:

      1. Picks up the trash from the front of the facility.
      2. Responds to all work requisitions, completing the requested task and the associated paper work.
      3. Completes preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and assigned. week.
      4. Checks and cleans the facility vehicles each week.
      5. Responds to immediate maintenance and repair problems; participates in alternating on-call schedule for emergencies. (beeper)







      • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.



      • Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

      • Demonstrates knowledge of Professional Assault Response Training (PART) principles and uses PART concepts to manage aggressive behavior.
