Job Summary

The Material Handler Class II plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our operations. This full-time position involves handling, organizing, and transporting materials to support production and inventory management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-conscious, and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


This individual would be responsible for using a number of powered lifting equipment including high-reach, order picker, and sit down forklift. Rate of pay for this role is $17.60 + $2.00 differential.

Primary Duties
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately log incoming materials and shipments.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials to designated areas.
  • Maintain organized and clean storage spaces, ensuring stock is properly labeled and accessible.
  • Assist in inventory counts and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures during material handling activities.
  • Support the loading and unloading of trucks, verifying shipment contents and documentation.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to improve operational efficiency and safety awareness.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to material handling tasks. Experience with warehouse systems and familiarity with safety protocols is highly valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with team members are essential for success in this role.

Desired skills and attributes include:

  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and reporting purposes.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Physical capability to lift and move materials safely.
  • Positive attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement.
Education / Experience

Applicants should hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling environment is preferred. Forklift certification and familiarity with warehouse management systems are advantageous. Commitment to ongoing training and adherence to safety standards is essential for this position.

The US base rate for this full-time position is . The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
