As a Security Officer - Government Facility Unarmed in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting access control procedures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
• Maintain detailed records of activities, observations, and incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities regarding incidents or suspicious activities.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions as needed.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and the location guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
