The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement (OVPFA) at Columbia aims to nurture and promote a vibrant climate of inclusive excellence through creative collaboration with University partners. OVPFA's primary focus is on fostering faculty development and community-building initiatives that will allow current and future faculty to thrive. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement, the Director of Faculty Support Initiatives is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing faculty professional development and school leadership support programming for Columbia University's 17 schools. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: a) collaboration with the Vice Provost and Associate Provost for Faculty Advancement in leading, planning and coordinating Columbia's ongoing commitment to supporting, advancing and retaining faculty; b) facilitating centrally managed faculty development programming; and, c) long-term strategic planning with the leaders of each of Columbia's Schools to evaluate and strengthen their faculty initiatives.
