About This Role

The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure track or clinical track, assistant or associate professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine. The successful candidate should be committed to academia and dedicated to contributing to a high-quality teaching program. The successful candidate will be joining a service of three other internists and will be expected to participate in clinical service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, and collaborative research in support of the academic missions of the College, Department and Veterinary Health Center. Directed clinical service activities include management of referral internal medicine cases, emergencies, and consults within the VHC, as well as mentoring of house officers and students in patient evaluation and management. Teaching responsibilities include instruction of veterinary students, interns, and residents in both clinical rounds and lecture environments.

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Applicants must hold a D.V.M. or equivalent degree and be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine - Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM- SAIM) or European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM). Candidates working toward certification are also eligible and invited to apply. The successful candidate should be committed to academia and dedicated to contributing to a high-quality teaching program. Individuals with advanced degrees and/or special training or practice experience are encouraged to apply.


Additional Role Information:



  • The starting date for the position is negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.


Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
