What We Offer

The CA Process Engineer II provides process technology, engineering and operational support to monitor, maintain and improve unit operations to gain efficiency improvements, reduce cost, improve sustainability, provide stable operations and maximize profitability.

Major Responsibilities

  • Monitor day to day unit operation, lead and support process troubleshooting efforts and coordinate the resolution of technical process related issues.

  • Coordinate and support the continuous development of the process technology and the optimization of the process. Responsible for continuous improvement efforts and costs savings (yield/quality improvements, waste reduction, throughput, energysavings, defect elimination and other related activities.)

  • Provide technical support to unit HAZOPs, assessments, audits, incident reviews, etc. and ensuring the safety concept of the unit is maintained/improved.

  • Serves as process expert and plant representative for design, construction and implementation of investment projects - interfacing, with technical professionals from other disciplines (e.g. PCT, project, engineering, environmental and utility services operations, and process, development)

  • Creates, maintains, and develops standards for plant operating, documentation (e.g. standard operating procedures, process descriptions, material and energy balances, P&IDs, and operating data collection and, retrieval)

  • Compiles formats and submits environmental data necessary for, timely and accurate filing with local, state, and federal regulatory, agencies

  • Provide process technology and operational related training materials from procedures, lessons learned and support training in the unit.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree with at least 1 year of experience OR

  • Masters degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree

  • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of rotating and static equipment through experience, expert training and self-study

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Trained is strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

  • High level of organizational and process management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to apply rigorous logic

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
