Job Summary

The Commission Financial Analyst will be an integral member of the Operations Finance Shared Services team, supporting both commissions and the extended Shared Finance team s responsibilities. This role will partner closely with commercial stakeholders to execute commission initiatives and provide financial insights that drive business results.

The analyst will develop a strong understanding of Southwire's products, channels, customers, and systems, enabling effective collaboration with commercial leaders as a trusted business partner. In addition, the role will provide general support to financial and commercial leadership, with a focus on:
* Streamlining and automating reporting processes,
* Delivering insightful financial and operational analysis
* Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage monthly sales and warehousing commission calculation payouts and agent incentive payouts, ensuring they are accurate and paid in a timely manner, as well as approved through the proper channels.
2. Responsible for preparing analytics that all our commercial team to make business decisions, helping to streamline and implement processes and procedures that reduce the risk of error by automating processes and reporting.
3. Assist with updating commission accruals and reconciliations in Blackline & SAP.
4. Assist with calculating and reporting commissions accruals, in a timely and accurate manner, for the commercial teams during closing, as well as assisting the commercial teams during forecasting.
5. Responsible for sending out monthly commission reports to the Southwire agent commercial team.
6. Maintain agent master and contract files; assist with drafting and distributing agency agreements, amendment letters, incentive letters, and termination letters, and distribute via DocuSign.
7. Partner and assist, as needed, with the extended Shared Finance team (rebates & finance/commercial analytics) with other projects, processes or tasks as assigned.
8. Capable of working in a time-driven environment while providing accurate information.
9. Serve as a trusted business partner by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align financial and commercial strategies with overall business objectives.

Required Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Accounting, Finance, Business Analysis or Information Systems
Years of Experience: 5+

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business analytics or information systems required. CFA, CPA or MBA a plus.
* Highly motivated, results-driven self-starter with excellent organizational skills, keen focus on details, proven ability to meet tight deadlines and to perform in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical and computer skills required. Excel super user (pivot tables, VLookups, macros, ability to manage large amounts of data). High level proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
* Understanding of SAP ERP systems, proficiency with the SAP Business Objects system (Advance analysis) reporting and analytic tools, Blackline and Tableau a plus.
* Intellectually curious and willing to deep dive into the numbers and provide visibility to trends, key insights.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel across various functions.
* Experience in sales financial analysis.
* Interact closely with management and the ability to provide recommendations for process improvement.
* Ability to gather information and review assumptions for logic and reasonableness
* Flexibility to work extended hours as required to meet deadlines

Preferred Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Accounting, Finance, Business Analysis or Information Systems
Years of Experience: 8+

Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates: CFA, CPA, MBA a plus
