Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Solutions Innovation Group (SIG).

SIG was founded on the premise that entrepreneurially-minded business and engineering teams can deliver high-quality, innovation solutions by working closely with the defense and intelligence personnel but doing so outside of the traditional government process. This novel approach allows us to deliver high-impact prototypes and field-ready solutions to the warfighter faster and more affordably.

The candidate can work remotely with occasional travel onsite to Hanscom AFB. The candidate

MUST be located in the Greater Boston Area.

This role is primarily remote, with required onsite work at Hanscom AFB for system support, and other locations primarily CONUS as needed for classified activities or lab visits.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Administer and maintain Linux and Windows servers across development, test, SIL, and production environments
  • Oversee secure lab infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, patching, logging, and hardware management
  • Support DevSecOps pipelines, automated builds, deployments, and environment provisioning
  • Collaborate with developers to package, test, and promote applications into operational environments Assist ISSM/ISSO functions by generating and maintaining RMF documentation (SSP, POA&M, inventories, controls)
  • Execute STIGs, SCAP scans, ACAS/Nessus checks, and lead remediation efforts
  • Manage cloud resources in AWS GovCloud and Azure Government, including IAM, networking, policies, and secure configuration
  • Monitor system performance, logs, vulnerabilities, and compliance findings across multiple systems and environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve environment, infrastructure, and deployment-related issues
  • Support cross-program readiness, demos, data flow validation, and end-to-end system integration
  • Maintain configuration baselines, secure build processes, and documentation of changes
  • Provide technical support and security oversight for systems moving into production
  • Coordinate with development, architecture, and IA teams to ensure secure and reliable deployments


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Level Clearance

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Years of Experience: 4+ years of diverse systems and networking experience with IA

Preferred Qualifications

Years of experience: 7+ years of diverse systems and networking experience with IA

  • Exerience with Cross Domain solutions is a plus
  • SCCM to perform automatic software installation on Windows systems
  • DNS, FTP server, LDAP integration, PKI smart card integration
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF, STIGs, and secure configuration management

Location: Greater Boston Area/Hanscom AFB

Travel: Travel or Non-Remote Time is not expected to exceed 20%
