Job Title : Registered Nurses

Locations : Coal Township, PA 17866

Duration : 3 months to long term

Shift: 2nd Shift - 2:00PM to 10:30PM

Job Description:

  • Provide professional nursing care and treatment services in a Commonwealth facility serving individuals with mental illness, physical injury, developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral disorders
  • Function in one or more roles, including Charge Nurse, Staff Nurse, or Assessment Coordinator, based on operational needs
  • Deliver direct patient/resident care in assigned units, wards, or living areas using independent clinical judgment
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Supervise and guide paraprofessional and non-professional nursing staff when assigned as Charge Nurse
  • Assign and monitor staff duties, ensuring adequate coverage, proper utilization of staff, and availability of supplies and equipment
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in electronic medical records and required reports
  • Communicate with residents and family members regarding care plans, assessments, and treatment progress
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and life-saving interventions as needed
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Follow universal and standard precautions to promote a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Accept, transcribe, and document practitioner orders within the scope of nursing practice
  • Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and risk management activities as assigned
  • Perform duties with professionalism, accountability, and adherence to Pennsylvania nursing practice standards
  • Ability to enter health data for residents into electronic medical records data base. Proficient computer skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office products.
