In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. We're looking for someone who challenges the status quo, aims high, and is eager to showcase their creativity in producing entertainment, social media, pop culture, and news content. The ideal candidate is both a self-starter and a true collaborator-action-oriented, resourceful, and ready to take initiative every single day.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Producer for our locally produced programs including "Last Call". The ideal candidate will have strong writing abilities and show-production skills, along with a passion for identifying and transforming social media trends into compelling, multi-platform content.

This position will also contribute to:

  • Content creation for newscasts, podcasts, and feature programming
  • Live and breaking news coverage
  • Producing segments for both linear and streaming platforms

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of television news experience in a medium to major market
  • Excellent communication skills, strong news judgment, and outstanding writing ability
  • High-level proficiency in research and information gathering
  • Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, television production workflows, and digital content creation
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $70,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
