Position Location Policy

  • General Location: 127 Public Square, Cleveland and 4900 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn, OH

    • Hybrid Requirement (if within specific cities): If the selected candidate resides in Cleveland, OH, Buffalo, NY, or Albany, NY, they are expected to work on-site 3 days per week at the nearest KeyBank office (non-branch location).

    • Minimum of 1 day per week in 127 Public Square, Cleveland required.

About the Job

This position is part of the Pricing and Portfolio management team within the innovative and fast growing Payments organization within Commercial Bank. The team is responsible for Financial Management and Reporting, Portfolio Management, Pricing, and Data and Product Insights. This is an exciting opportunity to influence pricing strategy by providing meaningful data-driven insights to improve the business performance. This role will be charged with driving analytical projects and processes to optimize portfolio and pricing strategies and financial outcomes in partnership with our Treasury Services solutions.

A successful candidate will have a blend of business acumen and technical skills, which together will enable him or her to drive and influence fact-based decision making with senior leadership across different lines of business. They are comfortable navigating, partnering and communicating for action in a large organization and across many different stakeholders.

Job Functions

  • Provide support in the analysis of pricing changes and the creation of relationship pricing models including insights and solutions related to standard and exception pricing methodologies

  • Work closely with internal partners, including Payment Advisors and Product Management to support pricing new business, including creating client proforma and ensuring pricing deliverables balance acquisition and pricing optimization targets

  • Support process development and communication efforts to ensure internal engagement models and process flows align with strategic imperatives

  • Develop and maintain analytically based portfolio management strategies and tracking metrics to drive profitable client growth

  • Develop metrics and leading indicators and forecasts which strongly correlate with profitability drivers

  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, Risk, and/or Marketing to create and implement standardized portfolio management processes

  • Support client profitability profiling and benchmarking efforts by industry and segment

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration preferred or equivalent work experience

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in business analytics, financial modeling, strategy, or consulting

  • Advanced Excel experience including ability to build complex formulas

  • Experience leveraging dashboards with data visualization applications (e.g.. Tableau, Power Bi, etc.)

  • Relationship-building skills working with senior to executive level management; strong interpersonal skills; Demonstrated cross-team leadership.

  • Presentation development; comfortable presenting to all levels; easily adapts message

  • Solid understanding of banking/Payments industry and key drivers of financial results. (Preferred)

  • Results oriented, self-starter with ability to work independently on relatively complex matters with minimal supervision.

  • Have a strong bias for action and quick iteration as opposed to perfection

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency database querying experience with ability to write complex SQL statements across data containing complex relationships. Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform, Tableau, Cognos and/or other data analysis and report writing tools.

  • Experience in an Agile development environment

  • Pricing strategy: Ability to design and optimize pricing models for acquisition and profitability.

  • Presentation skills: Advanced ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations.

  • Stakeholder management: Strong relationship-building and collaboration across teams.

  • Payments industry knowledge: Understanding of banking and payment systems and financial drivers.

  • Process development: Capability to design and implement efficient workflows and engagement models.

  • Forecasting: Ability to develop leading indicators and profitability forecasts.

  • Benchmarking: Skilled in client profitability profiling and industry comparisons.

  • Communication: Clear and adaptable communication for diverse audiences and senior leadership.

Preferred Skills

  • SQL querying: Proficient in writing complex SQL statements for data extraction and analysis.

  • Agile methodology: Familiarity with Agile development practices for process improvement.

Physical Demands

  • General office environment: Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face-to-face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

As analysts gain experience, they will have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities by leading projects and mentoring junior team members. Individuals that differentiate themselves can be promoted to more senior positions within the team. Additionally, experienced analysts will have opportunities to move into job functions within Commercial Bank's broader business. Examples include Product Management, Business Development and Analytics.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68,000.00 - $103,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
