The Joint Defense Support Group (JDSG), within SPA's Sea Land Air (SLA) Division, supports the Surface Community and components of the United States Navy by providing program management, requirements management, force development, and readiness support in Washington DC and the Fleet concentration areas. We provide timely, objective, analytic assessments, strategic planning, and expert operational, technical, and acquisition support to the Maritime communities, and related agencies, allies, and partners. We are trusted agents of the senior and operational leadership in the Fleet, OPNAV, NAVSEA, and the Royal Canadian and Royal Australian Navies. We play key roles in providing insights and strategies to address current and emerging challenges to national security and have tremendous impact on our client's success in solving their most important issues.#MC Responsibilities The PM is responsible for overseeing the direct support of a major, Navy shipbuilding acquisition contract of over 100 employees. The PM will support a variety of activities related to the acquisition, modernization, and life cycle management support of a Surface Combatant class and their embedded systems, including drafting requisitions, interviewing, and hiring to fill all roles. PM responsibilities also include developing program strategies, overseeing multiple complex projects, managing budgets and resources, and identifying and mitigating risks.
