Who We Are

The Annex Teen Clinic provides sexual health care and education for young adults through age 25 in a friendly, non-judgmental, and comfortable atmosphere. Our services are low-cost, medically accurate, and developmentally appropriate. The Annex Teen Clinic has been providing services in Northwest Hennepin County and North Minneapolis since 1971.

We provide the full range of birth control methods, STI testing and treatment, pregnancy testing and all-options counseling and referrals, as well as sexuality education.

Wages

$20 - $22 per hour

Benefits

Paid vacation time, sick time, and personal time policies, plus nine paid holidays per year and two floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance offerings; Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions up to $1,200/year for high deductible health plans, and options for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA); there is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and long-term disability insurance. ATC sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution after one year of service.

A typical day as the Annex's Sexuality Educator provides an opportunity to facilitate fact-based sexuality education and youth development programs to promote and provide tools for youth in the community to take control of their sexual healthcare.

Responsibilities will include the following:



  • Facilitating engaging, fact-based sexuality education programs for youth on topics such as contraception, STIs, healthy relationships, communication skills, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
  • Leading both single-session and multi-session workshops in schools and community settings.
  • Building strong community relationships to support parent and caregiver education.
  • Collaborating with partner organizations, schools, and fellow educators to deliver high-quality programming.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development related to human sexuality, youth development, and facilitation skills.
  • Promoting, scheduling, and coordinating sexuality education offerings.
  • Serving as a knowledgeable referral resource for young people, caregivers, educators, and service providers.
  • Engaging in internal and external meetings, work groups, and coalitions to support program goals.
  • Recruiting participants and facilitating out-of-school time programs.
  • Collecting, entering, and maintaining program data accurately and on time.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly program reports and additional documentation as needed.


Who You Are



  • You have a bachelor's degree in education, youth development, human services, or a relevant field; or you've gained equivalent knowledge through nontraditional study and lived experience.
  • You're passionate about providing young people with honest, empowering, and inclusive sexuality education.
  • You bring experience facilitating fact-based sexuality education and feel confident creating welcoming, engaging spaces for youth.
  • You love building relationships with youth, parents, caregivers, and community members, and you're energized by community-centered work.
  • You're skilled at recruiting young people and running youth groups that feel meaningful, fun, and supportive.
  • You're highly organized and able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting needs.
  • You're comfortable collaborating closely with a supervisor and teammates, and you take pride in communicating clearly and keeping work on track.
  • You enjoy representing programs at community events and health fairs, and you know how to plan and coordinate outreach effectively.
  • You're a strong communicator - confident in public speaking, skilled in facilitation, and able to write clearly and professionally.
  • You're self-motivated, adaptable, and excited to contribute your voice, creativity, and energy to a mission-driven team.
  • You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet Annex Teen Clinic's driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
