Assist the Agricultural Manager in the planning, direction, organization, and coordination of sourcing, receiving, cold storage, grading and transportation of crops as assigned. Also, assisting in governing the management of Company farms in the area of land preparation, planting, pesticide applications and harvesting.

Responsibilities:



  • Manage and complete grower contracts.
  • Sources raw product at lowest cost and best quality.
  • Ensures compliance with all government and company rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Hires, trains, and motivates personnel within the department.
  • Maintains raw product receiving stations, weighing, hydrocooling, sampling, and transport of product to cold storage.
  • Coordinates harvest timing and operational schedules between growers, plant, and development.
  • Promotes coordination and planning between departments such as: budgeting, contracting, farming, repairs, harvest, etc.
  • Record keeping, handling of chemicals, mapping, pretesting, and traveling.
  • Assist with farm operations including tillage, planting, spraying, and harvesting as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.



Qualifications:



  • Good oraland written communication.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Farm, agronomic background.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Ag industry and process.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural related field or equivalent.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience inthe agricultural production field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
