Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions. Potential to work in hazardous surroundings exists at all times including exposure to vehicle traffic, vicious animals, stressful and emergency situations. Directs traffic on I-70 when needed. Must be capable of sitting in a vehicle and/or working on foot for extended periods. The position requires shift work, including holidays, weekends and may require additional work hours. In addition all job offers will be contingent upon a satisfactory psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, drug screen, physical agilities course, background investigation and an interview with the Chief of Police.
