Security Officer - Tech/Media Unarmed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Unarmed Patrol Driver in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will play a key role in fostering a welcoming environment by delivering excellent customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as you support the security-related needs of the site.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or conditions that may impact the security-related operations of the location.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents or security-related matters.
• Assist in controlling access to the location, verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, following established protocols and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
