About the Role

The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for internal marketing and communications initiatives, with emphasis on writing, content development, and strategic messaging. This role partners with various departments to strengthen communication with employees and ensure alignment with organizational goals and values. It plays a key role in shaping the organization's internal voice, driving employee engagement, and maintaining consistent, strategic messaging across all channels.

What You'll Do:

    Writes internal and external communication, including but not limited to intranet articles, talking points, CEO communications, and other communication initiatives of the company.
  • Responsible for corporate communications aspects and maintenance of the company intranet, including stories and photo galleries.
  • Manages content for the company's internal website(s), including updating and maintaining content on the site and the company intranet, and liaising with web vendors.
  • Responsible for content on digital platforms: includes communications and marketing deployment for business and consumer online banking, mobile solutions, Google business listings, Google analytics, and LinkedIn and customer-facing owned channels including ATMs, branch screens, headquarters screens.
  • Writes bank publications, strategic client communication, marketing materials including collateral.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on internal communications for cross-functional projects as designated by the department head, providing guidance and input under established direction.
  • Responsible for content within audio/visual aspects of large corporate meetings, such as the All Employee meeting.
  • Represents department at various departmental/divisional meetings, webinars, etc., and reports back to Director.
  • Uses technology programs as needed, especially relating to website and intranet.
  • Coordinates media interactions under established guidelines, issues press releases, and manages headshots with designated photographer.
  • Provides communication support for event planning and execution as needed.
  • Coordinates with parent company on communication needs.
  • Manages client mailings with mail house and other needed parties.
  • Manages sensitive client data for communications initiatives.
  • Oversees communication projects and ensures timely execution and delivery.
  • Works with director of community relations on copy and coordination of community relations collateral.
  • Works directly with lines of business to communicate policy changes and team updates.


Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • 5-7 years experience in marketing and content writing. Working either client side or agency side.
  • Financial industry background preferable.
  • Strong feature and marketing writing abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task under stressful and fast-paced deadline conditions.
  • PC technical abilities including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, Adobe product knowledge, design programs, if possible, i.e. Illustrator and Photoshop.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
