About the Job

The University of Minnesota's School of Dentistry invites applicants for part-time, adjunct faculty to instruct in clinical areas and to serve as attending dentists for the area of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

The responsibilities may include but are not limited to: teaching courses, supervising DDS students/residents, and working in the predoctoral or graduate clinic. The role may also include assisting full-time faculty in courses or clinic coverage, grading and evaluating students, and other responsibilities as given. Clinical instruction and supervision in all phases of oral and maxillofacial surgery and pain and anxiety control. May involve presenting seminars.

The availability of adjunct (part-time, temporary) faculty positions depend on the teaching, research and service needs of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as the need fluctuates throughout the year.

Qualifications

Requirement Qualifications

  • DDS, BDS, or DMD and completion of an advanced education training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certification equivalent to CDA accredited training program.
  • Private practice or teaching experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Current/Active Minnesota Dental License and CPR certification required by start of work. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice experience.
  • VISA sponsorship is not available for this position, all qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Current Minnesota Dental License
  • CPR/BLS current certification
  • Other related certifications/licenses as determined by specialty

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
