About the Role We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team at our Chaska, MN bakery. As a Maintenance Technician III, you will perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on bakery production equipment to minimize downtime and support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 1st
- Hours: Friday-Monday, 5:45AM - 4:00PM
- Weekend availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $28.08 - $34.00
Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)
- Perform advanced preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on bakery equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and control systems to ensure operational reliability
- Install, overhaul, test, and validate equipment to maintain optimal performance
- Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and document all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance system
- Coordinate with planners, supervisors, and parts personnel to ensure timely access to materials and accurate followup actions
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and safety
- Comply with GMPs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements across all maintenance work
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High school diploma and 4+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation, electronics, mechanical, or electrical systems; or 6+ years of related experience
- Experience troubleshooting PLC software, I/O, and field devices
- Experience with at least three of the following: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, or food manufacturing controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Ability to work in fastpaced environments and adapt to production changes
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working around industrial equipment
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Experience in food or bakery manufacturing maintenance
- Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Experience working with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
- Strong communication and problemsolving skills
