Description & Requirements

The Broad IT Services (BITS) group is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO). The Information Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating, and implementing designated department projects according to the identified specifications, deadlines, and budgets. The IT project manager drives the operationalization and execution of all assigned projects and follows the established project management methodology to define project charter and objectives, create schedules, and exercise oversight throughout the entire project.

This is a hybrid role.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:

  • Facilitates project meetings to continually align the team around goals and communicate blocking issues.
  • Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of the project.
  • Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
  • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
  • Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.
  • Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of related experience managing IT projects required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science-related field preferred, or related experience.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Training in science, engineering, or business fields is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

The expected base pay range for this position as listed above is based on a 40 hour per week schedule. Broad provides pay ranges representing its reasonable and good faith estimate of what the organization reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, qualifications, and other factors permissible by law.
