Job Description
BSOM Academic Affairs-Office of Clinical Education and Scholarship is currently seeking to hire a Graduate Research Assistant.

The Graduate Research Assistant will contribute to institutional research addressing medical student success and/or faculty and staff development at the Brody School of Medicine. Additionally, this position will assist with medical student clinical and/or educational scholarly projects to support their completion and publication. This position will participate in data analysis, IRB submission, writing, and manuscript submission for scholarly works in the above areas. The qualified candidate will have training or experience in scholarly research, including quantitative or qualitative data analysis, scholarly writing, and experience with data management. The candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office and should have training or experience with one or more statistical software packages. Experience in Stata is strongly preferred.

  • Quantitative and qualitative data gathering, analysis, and manuscript writing
  • Project management
  • Communication with research partners within and external to the school of medicine around projects and scholarship
  • Data set management and analysis
  • Providing other assistance as requested

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree and admission in an accredited degree-granting graduate program at East Carolina University. Additionally, all applicants should be in good conduct and behavioral standing with East Carolina University as well as with the local, state, and federal laws.
