Registered Nurse RN - Cardio Vascular Recovery Unit - Jackson Full Time - 40 hours (4 - 10 hour shifts/wk), 7am - 5:30pm or until last patient is gone. Weekend on-call - every third weekend. 6 hours between 9am - 3pm Candidate Preferences: Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient experience working in ED, ICU, PACU, Pre-op or Cath Lab. Experience with monitoring drips and moderate sedation. Needs to live within 30-45 minutes of the hospital due to on-call requirement. A little about Henry Ford Jackson: Hospital is a 420-bed, Magnet designated, Level II Trauma Center. Acute care services are complemented by more than 40 community-based outpatient service locations. We are proud to provide a broad range of specialty services, from cardiac surgery and minimally invasive structural heart procedures to neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and total joint replacement. We also offer full home health care and hospice services. Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. If ADN, must be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of start date, obtain your BSN within 5 years of start date. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
