We are currently seeking a Production Control Coordinator who will support the manufacturing operations by coordinating material availability and ensuring timely workflow within the optics production environment.

Main responsibilities:



  • ProductionScheduling:
    Assist in creating and maintainingproductionschedules for optics manufacturing based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.


  • Material Coordination:
    Track and manage the availability of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies required for opticsproduction. Work with procurement and warehouse teams to preventproductiondelays.


  • Workflow Management:
    Monitor production progress on the shop floor, identify bottlenecks, and communicate with relevant teams to optimise throughput.


  • Data Management and Reporting:
    Maintain accurate production data, including order status, inventory levels, and production metrics. Prepare daily/weekly reports for management review.


  • Quality and Compliance Support:
    Collaborate with qualitycontrolteams to ensureproductioncomplies with specifications and regulatory standards. Assist in implementing corrective actions forproductionissues.


  • Communication and Coordination:Serve as a liaison betweenproduction, engineering, supply chain, and quality departments to ensure smoothproductionflow and timely resolution of issues.


  • Continuous Improvement:Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.



Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic knowledge of optics manufacturing processes and terminology is a plus.
  • Experience withproductionscheduling, inventory management, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.


Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This facility specializesin the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
