The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X - $Y at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do in this Role:

Team Leadership & Development

* Lead, coach, and mentor a team of controls and software engineers.

* Manage resource planning, including internal staff and external contractors.

* Foster a culture of collaboration, visibility, and engagement across global teams.

* Identify skill gaps and assign tasks to optimize team performance.

Software Engineering & Technical Oversight

* Design and develop control programs for electrical systems and automation equipment.

* Guide PLC programming efforts (Siemens, Rockwell) and apply high-level languages (C#, Python).

* Ensure software meets functional, stability, and scalability requirements through rigorous testing.

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using diagnostic tools and data analysis.

Product Delivery

* Oversee project execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

* Monitor and report on product status, forecasts, and risks.

* Maintain compliance with safety and industry standards.

* Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

* Establish feedback loops with internal and external customers.

* Collaborate cross-functionally to align software solutions with business needs.

* Build international partnerships to maintain consistent standards during growth.

Strategic & Financial Management

* Align team activities with strategic goals and budget plans.

* Manage team and individual expenses, training hours, and workload distribution.

* Support department-wide process improvements and strategic initiatives.

What We are Looking For:

* Ability to manage multiple high-level priorities under time constraints.

* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and other relevant tools.

* Comfortable working in both remote and office environments with distributed teams.

Skilled in conflict resolution and issue management.

* Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in controls software development.

* Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and projects.

* Experience in material handling, automation, or industrial controls strongly preferred.

* Familiarity with multi-site engineering management and distributed teams.

* Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens or Rockwell) and high-level languages (C#, Python).

* Exposure to controls technologies, product development, and agile methodologies.

Demonstrated success in strategic planning, process improvement, and budget management.

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

* Advanced degree (e.g., Master's) is a plus.

Relevant certifications in controls engineering, software development, or project management are advantageous.

* Responsible for health and safety compliance (e.g., OSHA/WHS&E).

* Travel up to 20% may be required for customer visits, training, and team coordination.
