Under the direction of the Director of Development Events, Corporate Relations, & Donor Relations and in close collaboration with the respective development and hospital teams, this position supports the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of revenue-generating events and corporate engagement and donor relations initiatives for Brown University Health. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in management, marketing, business, or a related field is for this position preferred. Minimum of three years professional experience in a related field. Experience should demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, critical thinking and strategy, strong leadership as well as organizational and time management skills. Proven track record coordinating special events/promotions, recruiting and managing volunteers and strong planning and execution skills. Candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Desired candidate must have strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with corporate sponsors, hospital executives, volunteers, patients and families, media, and general public. Computer proficiency required including word processing, spreadsheet and database management applications, and graphic design. Raiser's Edge experience a plus, but not required. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :Normal office environment with occasional travel to off-campus sponsor or vendor sites within and outside the State of Rhode Island. Requires valid driver's license and dependable vehicle to travel to off-site locations. Requires flexibility to accommodate night and weekend commitments. Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to move, set up and breakdown event space and materials. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None. Provides functional guidance in event planning and execution to volunteer assistants.
